Affirmations
have been a proven force in the lives of many. If used correctly,
our affirmations can impact both the little things in our lives
as well as the major things we want to change. Affirmations are
basically thoughts that we teach our minds to think.
Over
time our affirmations become our beliefs. This means we actively
change our beliefs by changing our thoughts. We can actually change
how we react to things through our personal affirmations.
In
order to find true emotional peace it is necessary to take stock
of who we are, who we want to be, and the path we must take to become
that person. One of the areas in our lives that the majority of
us need help with the most is finding emotional peace. This
is also the most elusive area of our lives for many of us.
By
affirming that we will think only positive thoughts and not allow
negativity to find its way into our daily thoughts, we are providing
our own peaceful existence. We are not allowing our minds to
be invaded by the stressors that take away our inner peace.
Most
importantly, we must be aware of our thoughts.
We
must learn to redirect our thoughts in order to achieve the inner
peace we are seeking. This means we must first learn to be mindful
of these thoughts. Whenever negative thoughts begin creeping
in we need to learn to double our efforts on the positive. This
will not only enhance our calm moments and extend peaceful meditations
it will also teach us to recognize those thoughts that disrupt these
times. If you find yourself having difficulty identifying the big
